ThorneLea Goldens was established in 1976. My first home bred Champion was CH ThorneLea's Guinevere CD, WC, VC . Guinevere was a very intelligent golden and willing to please. She obtained her CD in 6 weeks of training and actually watched her dam CH Caernac's Adhuil Ornaic CD, WCX, VC "CHARMY" do doubles and triples for her WCX title. Guinevere obtained her CD with very limited training and got it on the first try.

I have bred many breed Champions. Many of these were finished owner breeder handled. Our lives changed a lot in the 1980's and I went to work full time so did not have the time to do field work. I did manage to put CD titles on some of my Champions. Other people have put Master Hunter and obedience titles on my goldens as well as agility and tracking titles.

I now live on approximately 2 acres in a very wooded area in Pelham, New Hampshire. The yard is fenced in and the dogs have a huge area to run free. They are not in kennel runs and they are a part of the family.

I keep a limited number of dogs. Those are CH ThorneLea Total Eclipse of the Heart, Sunkozi ThorneLea Gone Country, CH ThorneLea Gone To Gilead, and ThorneLea's Happy Together 2. I do like showing my own dogs in the breed ring and will do so as long as I can.

My puppies are sold with health certificates and first vaccinations. All parents have their clearances: hip/elbow, eye and heart. Many of my puppies go to wonderful pet homes and I strive to breed healthy goldens with good temperaments.
